Valentine Project team is committed to building an orphanage in Buza, in the Temeke District of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. The Anglican Diocese of Dar es Salaam owns the land, a total of 225 acres. A secondary school is currently located there, and a dormitory for girls is currently under construction. The children in Dar es Salaam who are in a neglectful or dangerous situation will come to live in the Valentine Orphanage. We will provide a program that addresses the most neglected areas and focuses on ensuring every child in the orphanage is receiving an education. In addition, we will offer support in non-academic areas such as self-expression, self-esteem, social skills, independent study skills and practical domestic skills. The orphanage will house 300-350 children, ranging in age from infants to 18 years old.
