Designer Tablescape: Hannah Fulton

Over the next few weeks are asking each of the J Banks Designers to style a tablescape on a round, glass table from our retail store. We have given them the freedom to create anything they want; from a table setting for entertaining to a beautiful design vignette – the sky is the limit!  The end result will show how thoughtful accessories and attention to detail can change the overall ambiance of a room.

Last week we featured Designer, Sharon Cleland. Week no. 2 features, Designer Hannah Fulton and her fall inspired creation!

JB: What is your favorite item or items in the vignette/tablescape? Why?

Hannah: I love the Regina Andrew champagne glasses.  They add a touch of formality (appropriate for a holiday meal) but the mixture of colors and etching patterns adds a little bit of whimsy!

JB: Tell us a little bit about your color choices & how you were inspired.

Hannah: Thanksgiving was my inspiration; I used a fall color scheme and blended in rich jewel tones.

JB: What advice can you give for your clients about dressing a table?

Hannah: Don’t be afraid to mix and match!  Everything doesn’t have to be a perfect set.  I blended different napkins and napkin rings as well as fresh and faux florals.   If you it’s your first time mixing things up, select a few things from a matching set and then let loose with the rest!  (In this table setting, a matching set of dessert plates and a fabric runner provided just enough consistency to make everything work together). Also, creating an impact is great, however, always remember you can edit your table and scale down a few pieces for practical purposes!

We loved the warm ambiance that Hannah created for her tablescape!

Stay tuned for more tablescapes coming soon!
