Designer Tablescape: Patche Pratt

Over the past few months we have asked each of the J Banks Designers to style a tablescape on a round, glass table from our retail store. We have given them the freedom to create anything they want; from a table setting for entertaining to a beautiful design vignette – the sky is the limit!  The end result has shown how thoughtful accessories and attention to detail can change the overall ambiance of a room.

Last week we featured Designer Shelley Wilkins and her Valentine’s table. This week, we are featuring Designer Patche Pratt’s Super Bowl bar table creation. Enjoy!

JB: What is your favorite item or items in the vignette/tablescape? Why?

Patche: Creating a great bar can be just as fun for entertaining guests. On my bar setup, I have a few favorites…the football field table runners from Kitchen Papers, the horn wine opener and antler bottle opener from Two’s Company are so festive and helped set the theme for my Super Bowl bar table. I also loved mixing the distressed wood of the cheese tray from Europe 2 You with the glass and metal reflective accents.

JB: Tell us a little bit about your color choices & how you were inspired.

Patche: I wanted a focal point and conversation piece for my bar tablescape. The over-scaled green glass vase caught my eye and immediately got me inspired.

JBWhat advice can you give for your clients about dressing a table?

Patche: Start with a theme and use a statement piece to get your creative juices flowing. I used the Vagabond House Alligator Beer Mugs as my statement piece to create that surprising element..make it fun and unexpected for your guests! Using an actual football as part of the decor adds to the festive nature of game day entertaining.

We loved the warm and casual ambiance that Patche created for her tablescape!
