J Banks Design Group has been selected as a member of the Coastal Living and Southern Living Designer Network, a group of editorially recommended designers for readers of the Time Inc. titles. In late 2014, Coastal Living and Southern Living partnered to launch this brand-credentialed group of interior designers in key markets across the country. Each designer in the network has been vetted by editorial representatives of each magazine.
“For decades, Coastal Living and Southern Living have curated the best in home design to be featured in our magazines. We’ve established invaluable relationships with trailblazers, trendsetters, and icons in the design industry. With this, designers and readers look to both brands for design tips, trends, and inspiration. The Designer Network connects these two audiences and extending our style from the pages of our magazines to the homes of consumers. All designers are vetted and certified as members of our program. After connecting with one of our designers, consumers can confidently proceed with their home projects knowing that they are working with a professional who meets the high standards and style of our unique brands.” – Southern Living
“We are honored to be one of the select interior design firms invited into the Southern Living / Coastal Living Designer Network and understand that the endorsement from such a strong lifestyle brand creates inherent value to potential clients. The Designer Network also offers us a greater opportunity to engage with design talent from around the country. Sharing information only leads to better practices for the industry as a whole and we look forward to creating new relationships with fellow network designers.”– Joni Vanderslice, President & Owner of J Banks Design
We are excited about our first partnership with Southern Living since joining the Designer Network. We just finished and installed the Southern Living Inspired Home in Habersham, South Carolina. It is the first collaboration that brought together a Southern Living builder, designer and community into one special project. J Banks Designer, Lisa Whitley, wanted to convey her interpretation of the Lowcountry way of life making the home a “treasure box” of a cottage. You will notice that her entire color palette was inspired by our surroundings. Hues found in pluff mud, our breathtaking sunsets and oyster shells can be seen throughout. The simple, yet elevated millwork, fabric textures and rich finishes come together to provide a home that is both functional, beautiful and most of all, livable.
The home is open to the public until Sunday, June 7th; Fridays and Saturdays 10am to 5pm and Sundays 11am to 4pm.
