An honorable mention for Clubhouse of the Year went to a J. Banks Design Group project, Frenchman’s Reserve, in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, the award given by Golf Inc. magazine.
Taking into consideration the surroundings and the activities at Frenchman’s Reserve, a Troon Privé managed club, was top of mind for us at J. Banks Design Group as we were planning the interiors. Developers asked for a relaxed, private club atmosphere of a calibre that would measure up to the property’s spectacular Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Course.
“To be named one of Golf Inc.’s top ‘Clubhouses of the Year’ is a tremendous honor,” said Jay Walkinshaw, general manager of Frenchman’s Reserve Country Club. “We can’t thank the architects at GliddenSpina & Partners, the interior designers at J. Banks Design Group and the contractor Carrere General Contractors enough for their outstanding efforts put forth at Frenchman’s Reserve. The clubhouse is spectacular and is being enjoyed by members and guests alike.”
The entire experience at Frenchman’s Reserve embodies luxury in a relaxed, private country club atmosphere. “Live life to the fullest through golfing, dining, fitness, spa, tennis and a social calendar filled with exciting activities for everyone,” the property’s organizers urge. Frenchman’s Reserve Country Club has recently been recognized as a Platinum Club of America for 2016-18, in the category of top 150 Country Clubs (out of 4000+ private clubs). Frenchman’s Reserve made its debut on this list at number 98.
At Frenchman’s Reserve, lifestyle is among the best in the country. The amenities inside Frenchman’s Reserve offer a world of social opportunities – with good friends, hospitable neighbors, and an array of activities to enjoy year-round, you will find that Frenchman’s Reserve is truly a place to belong.
Golf Inc. Magazine annually recognizes top public and private new and remodeled clubhouses, and we at J. Banks Design are pleased to have one of the properties for which we created the interiors receive this honorable mention.
