We are looking for a high energy, creative and task-oriented Residential Associate Designer to join our team. J. Banks Design Group is an award-winning design firm of over 40 associates working globally in both the residential and hospitality sectors. A degree from a CIDA or NAAB accredited program is required and experience working with high-end residential clients is a plus.

This position is responsible for applying routine principles of bookkeeping to complete assigned duties related to accounts payable and receivable processing and support procurement in daily functions as directed by Procurement Manager.

We are looking for a high energy and task-oriented Maintenance & Warehouse Associate. J. Banks Design Group is an award-winning design firm of over 40 associates working globally in both the residential and hospitality sectors. The Maintenance & Warehouse Associate supports the design staff and the retail operation by being responsible for the initial documentation of all receiving, assisting with all shipping functions from the main office and for the maintenance of facilities, including the retail store, warehouses, office areas and common areas.

This position is Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week with some overtime as necessary.

Job Requirements include:

  • Clean driving record and a current driver’s license
  • Ability to continuously stand or walk
  • Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift frequently
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • May occasionally walk on slippery or uneven surfaces
  • Will climb ladders and work off elevated surfaces on an occasional basis during each shift

Job Tasks Include:

CLEANING

  • Regular daily cleaning of warehouse, office and retail space
  • Monthly vehicle maintenance checks and cleaning
  • Exterior maintenance

WAREHOUSE

  • Assist with unpacking large shipments, as directed
  • Assist with other cleaning/moving/unpacking tasks as directed
  • Deliveries to design staff and design clients
  • Assist with smaller scale installations
  • Pick-up of product for design clients
  • Assist with loading vehicles for installations
  • Accept deliveries, fill out receiving log & prep rolls of fabric to be received in Studio
  • Maintain cardboard level & make dump runs as necessary
  • Maintain Blue Jay warehouse as directed by Retail Manager and assist with cleaning/moving
  • Appropriately package outgoing shipments for design staff as needed

RETAIL

  • Assist retail with moving furniture, hanging art, etc. as directed by Retail Manager
  • Wrap sold goods & load cars for Retail customers
  • Appropriately package shipments outgoing for retail as needed
  • Assist retail with small deliveries to customers

GENERAL

  • Assist design team with transporting large items to/from cars, as well as with small deliveries to clients, etc.
  • Building maintenance as directed by Retail Manager or President. (i.e. touch up paint, small repairs, etc.)
  • Inquire and schedule third party contractor for more extensive work. (i.e. electrical, HVAC, etc.) with approval from President and VP Finance
  • Transport items to/from Blue Jay as directed by Retail Manager
  • Refill/Stock Water/drinks/Paper products for kitchen/bathroom
  • Shopping trips for soda/water/hardware supplies
  • Work within company culture, adhering to company policies and procedures and represent the Company in a professional manner
