2018 Golf Inc. First Place Private Clubhouse Remodel

2018 Golf Inc. First Place Private Clubhouse Remodel – John’s Island Club, Vero Beach, FL

John’s Island Club, with interiors designed by J. Banks Design Group, was selected as first-place winner in the Private Club Remodel category by Golf Inc. magazine in its annual Clubhouse Competition.

“This year’s Golf Inc. Clubhouse of the Year winners are great examples of how members are embracing stylish, modern venues for socializing and family activities. And the “Wow” factor is a big part of the package.”

The contest annually recognizes the best new and renovated clubhouses in the United States and internationally. Winners are chosen in three categories: Best new private clubhouses, best new public course clubhouses and best remodeled clubhouses.

John’s Island Club is a private, member-owned club located in the John’s Island community in Vero Beach, Florida. Nestled between three miles of sandy beaches along the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian River Lagoon, the Club offers classic and casual dining facilities, three 18-hole championship golf courses, 17 Har-Tru clay tennis courts, 6 pickleball courts, singles and doubles squash courts, a state-of-the-art fitness & wellness center, and two croquet lawns.

It’s obvious from this list of sports activities that the community is an active one, which the J. Banks Design Group took into consideration when choosing materials and making aesthetic considerations. Developers say, “From the beginning, John’s Island was envisioned as a very private, family-oriented club community that would take full advantage of its barrier-island location,” and our designs for the clubhouse took the settings into consideration, as well.

Last year J. Banks won Honorable Mention Clubhouse of the Year for their project Frenchman’s Reserve in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. This 2018 Golf Inc. nod brings us great satisfaction and we look forward to creating many more outstanding environments for golfers and their families to enjoy.
