lobby at Homewood Suites in Cary, NC, designed by J Banks Design Group, with mid-century modern light fixtures

Homewood Suites by Hilton Raleigh/Cary, NC

J. Banks Design Group recently completed the design of all interiors of the new Homewood Suites by Hilton Raleigh/Cary. The scenic wooded area surrounding the Homewood Suites by Hilton® Raleigh/Cary hotel is located in MacGregor Park in Cary, North Carolina. The extended stay hotel is minutes from Raleigh and Research Triangle Park and 12 miles from Raleigh Durham International Airport. Developed, owned and managed by Parks Hospitality Group, the 108-suite hotel is a new extended stay addition in the Raleigh-Cary metro area, the 14th fastest growing metro in the country and the fastest in North Carolina.

The clients wanted us to create interiors with a completely different look from what is typically done in the Cary/Raleigh area. While most of the hotels have a cabin/forest aesthetic, our clients were looking for a modern, contemporary hotel with mid-century accents. They wanted visitors to feel welcomed and have plenty of gathering spaces to meet.

Upon entering the lobby visitors are greeted with a bright and airy space with comfortable seating with pops of color. Oversized brass light fixtures differentiate the lobby and add a modern twist. To achieve the mid-century modern look, we pulled in brass with white and black accents throughout all of the public spaces. In the third-floor lobby, the fireplace gives off a home-like ambiance while still in keeping with the sleek aesthetic. A wood-burning fireplace was created on the patio of the hotel to create an outdoor space for visitors to enjoy.

The spacious one- and two-bedroom suites are designed to be sophisticated yet comfortable. The suites also include an expansive living room for relaxation that our designers imbued with a soothing color palette and comforting design elements like roomy upholstery pieces made for kicking back. The experience at this hotel begins when visitors travel over the signature covered bridge, a storied ambiance that is continued in the third-floor lobby where the fireplace provides a home-like atmosphere. There is also a wood-burning fireplace on the patio that furthers the feeling of home away from home, a hallmark of the J. Banks Design philosophy.
