Several of these include a day-long series of seminars at ADAC during which Joni Vanderslice, the J. Banks Design Group president, spoke at the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center titled “Get Down to Business.” ADAC organizers described the event as a powerful opportunity to strengthen business strategy to grow a bigger stronger foundation for a firm navigating the design industry. From essential contractual issues, to growing the talent necessary to launch a business into the future, it is being touted as a not-to-miss event.

Joni’s segments were part one and two of “The Art of Growing a Business.” In session one, attendees learned the steps Joni has taken to move our team and our business forward into a company that now includes product lines, a 3,500-square-foot retail showroom and a thriving interior design practice with projects throughout the world. In part two, she delved into the policies, procedures, and resource management tactics she implemented in our firm and learn how those same steps can be applied to your own practice to ensure consistent and controlled fiscal growth into the future.

Joni Vanderslice was a panel speaker for What’s New What’s Next 2018’s “Global Hospitality: Inspired Design for Public Spaces.” Hosted by EJ Victor and Architectural Digest, AD 100 Designer Ryan Korban, Award Winning Hospitality Designer Joni Vanderslice, and 2016 International Luxury Designer of the Year Greg Natale discussed their inspiration, collaboration and approach to designing for public spaces from resorts to retail to real estate.
