Mayacama Villas Sonoma County

Nestled in the hills of northern Sonoma County, California, not far from the charming town of Healdsburg, Mayacama is a private golf and residential community where a vibrant club life is joined by an active sporting life in an indescribably beautiful valley near Santa Rosa. Mayacama is a rare and remarkable experience centered around a grand clubhouse and a championship Jack Nicklaus signature course ranked among the top 100 in America.

The J. Banks Group designers are working on a complete clubhouse renovation that includes dramatic changes to the dining venues; ground-up construction for four 2700-square-foot villas and the renovation and refurbishment of the existing one-bedroom casitas and three-bedroom villas. The villas are scheduled to be completed this summer, and the clubhouse will be revealed in the fall.

We are working with project architect Kirley + Architecture and Development to ensure the architecture and interiors meld seamlessly and maintain the spirit of the resort, which developers describe so beautifully: Just north of San Francisco across the Golden Gate Bridge is what may be California’s most diverse and enthralling county – Sonoma. And here, near Healdsburg, the cozy country town that is the jewel of all wine country, is a private club as unique and beguiling as the region itself. This is Mayacama.

The story begins and revolves around an expansive Mediterranean-inspired clubhouse. Formal and casual alfresco dining overlooks a Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course. There is a spa, tennis, pools, fitness, hiking, bocce and exquisite residences nestled into the lush oak-shaded landscape. A Vintner Member program that features 35 of the leading winemakers from Napa and Sonoma accentuates the entire experience. Mayacama is above all things a vibrant and immanently social lifestyle, and an idyllic home away from home.

The 40,000-square-foot clubhouse is referred to as the centerpiece of the Mediterranean-inspired estate with exposed timbers, rustic trusses, hand-plastered walls, fireplaces, fine art at every turn, sweeping verandas and vine-draped courtyards. The description is so on point and we are excited to be enhancing the luxury of the resort with our design program.
